Assigned by the university to receive education for "Paralytic Extremity and Reconstructive Leprosy Surgery" in All Africa Leprosy and Rehabilitation Training Centre, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Africa"

1983-1984

 Received microsurgery training in “Faculte de Medicine, Institut de Recherches Chirurgicales, C.H.U., Brabois, Nancy, France”, and hand surgery training in  “Hospital Jeanne-d’Arc, Service de Chirurgie D, Plastique et Reconstructive, Nancy, FRANCE”

1985-1986

Worked for one year in “Columbia University in New York, The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery/Hand, The College of Physicians and Surgeons at The Presbyterian Hospital, USA”, and received hand surgery training. During the same period he attended the experimental microsurgery training program in “Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Centre” for one year. 

1987-1990

Returned back to his position in Istanbul University Istanbul Medical Faculty. He continued his part time position in Pasteur French Hospital Hand and Microsurgery Center as chief of the emergency team

05.10.1990 

Promoted to Associate Professor degree.

1991-2010

In addition to his position in Istanbul Medical Faculty, he worked as the emergency team chief in American Hospital Hand and Microsurgery Department, and continued his studies as Chief of the Department of Hand and Microsurgery between 2007-2010

28.02.1995 

Began working in Istanbul University Istanbul Medical Faculty Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Division of Hand Surgery as an Associate Professor

07.11.1996 

Promoted to professor degree in Istanbul University Istanbul Medical Faculty Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Division of Hand Surgery

19.01.1998 

Assigned as the chief of Hand Surgery Division in I.U. Istanbul Medical Faculty

13.05.2014

He was elected as the Chief of Plastic Recontructive and Aesthetic Surgery Department and the Division of Hand Surgery

14.08.2017

He retired from his duties at Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine Department of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery.
